Off they go....
I cannot believe my littlest girls have started preschool. It has been a long road. Anybody with multiples will tell you it is tough. Especially the first year. Anyway, I digress. They started preschool last week and could not be loving it any more! When I look at Hannah and Grace, I see my little babies. Not the almost 3 and1/2 year olds that they are. The first day of school they walked in and off they went like they owned the place. There was constant chatter the whole way home that day. I heard the play by play of the whole 2 and 1/2 hours of class. We are so blessed to have such an awesome preschool with amazing teachers for them to attend. Another first checked off the list.

There were tears....
Today was the big day! Maggie jumped out of bed at 6 o'clock, and was on a mission to get ready for her big day. She had a huge smile on her face the whole time. She is SO her father's daughter, I am the polar opposite of a morning person. All of us piled into the van and we were off. I felt ill the whole way there. She was chanting, "We're almost there" from the back seat. We pulled into the drop-off line and waited our turn. Her principal helped her out of the van, we said our good byes and off she went. I couldn't take my eyes off of her as the van pulled away. She looked so small opening the big door all by herself. Then she was out of sight. That is when the tears started rolling down my face. I can't believe this day is finally here.
The day was so different with only the smallest little B's here. There is a whole different dynamic between the 2 of them when their big sister is not here. They kept asking me if we could go get Maggie now. I got tons of picking up and laundry done. Finally got around to hanging up the hooks I bought awhile ago for their coats and school bags. That was all before lunch. We all went to pick Maggie up from the bus stop in the afternoon. She had a great day. I think riding the bus was her favorite part!
I am so excited to see what I will accomplish when they are all at school. Don't get me wrong, I do love spending time with all of them. But this house has been neglected for far too long. My goal is to get our home organized and get routines established, so I am able to spend more of my time with my little B's!!

I thought I was okay with this....
Maggie is starting kindergarten in 5 days. I thought I was okay with this. Until last night, as I lay in bed trying to go to sleep. I could not get the image of her going through her day at school, out of my head. She gets 15 minutes to eat lunch each day. I kept seeing her sitting at the little lunch table with almost all of her food sitting there and lunch time was over. I could hear her saying,"But I am so hungry". This brought huge tears to my eyes. Now, I know she will be fine if she doesn't get to eat all of her lunch, it has happened plenty of times at home. I just kept hearing her say "I'm still hungry" echo in my head all night. Maybe I was subconsciously trying not to think about this huge step in her young life. The thought of my sweet little girl navigating her way through the big world that is kindergarten is becoming more and more real.
